Sr. Engineer I (Manual Testing)

As a Senior Engineer I (Manual Testing), you will have a key role in making sure our products meet top quality and performance standards. Responsibilities
  • Analyze new features and improvements to define test scope, dependencies, and risk areas.
  • Build, develop, and maintain detailed test plans, test cases, and test scenarios.
  • Complete functional, integration, regression, and system-level testing to ensure flawless product performance.
  • Ensure completeness and accuracy of testing artifacts and checklists.
  • Provide clear test status updates and defect metrics for releases.
  • Record, monitor, and confirm defects using tools such as JIRA and Zephyr.
  • Carry out detailed root cause analysis and offer valuable insights to development teams.
  • Collaborate closely with developers to troubleshoot and validate fixes.
  • Use debugging and profiling tools (e.g., Valgrind, Google Sanitizer) to identify performance and memory-related issues.
  • Follow established QA processes and standards, while finding opportunities to streamline workflows and improve testing efficiency.
  • Contribute to improving test strategies and operational practices.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent.
  • 3-4 years of experience in Software Testing / Quality Engineering.
  • Strong understanding of QA methodologies and software development lifecycles.
  • Solid understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) concepts.
  • Ability to read, comprehend, and evaluate application code to assist with testing and root cause analysis.
  • Working knowledge of at least one scripting language (preferably Python).
  • Experience with defect tracking and test management tools (JIRA, Zephyr, etc.).
  • Hands-on debugging and troubleshooting experience using industry-standard tools.
  • Experience with profiling utilities like Valgrind and Google Sanitizer.
  • Experience working with source control systems (e.g., Git).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to identify automation opportunities.

## Preferred Qualifications:

  • Background in the gaming industry.
  • Experience testing SDKs or development toolkits.
  • Experience working in CI/CD environments.
  • Exposure to automation.
