Tax Manager
In this challenging role, you will assist in managing the Brazil tax compliance of bet 365’s Brazilian business and be involved in a number of Brazil tax advisory projects. You will assist in managing all aspects of tax reporting and compliance, collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess the tax implications of business decisions, and monitor changes in tax legislation. A deep understanding of Brazilian tax laws and practices, along with a proven track record in tax management, is essential. You will also liaise with external advisors and tax authorities as needed. Any experience in improvement of tax processes is also beneficial.
- Assisting with the management of all Brazil tax compliance and reporting for Brazil operations, ensuring adherence to local regulations and deadlines.
- Implement changes in tax legislation in tax compliance in Brazil.
- Establish clear internal timelines and processes to ensure all filings are submitted by their respective due dates and ensure the payment is made on time.
- Liaise with external tax advisors and authorities to resolve tax-related matters and audits.
- Responsible for not just following existing procedures but also for continuously evaluating and improving them.
- Regularly assessing current tax compliance processes to identify any inefficiencies, potential errors, or areas of risk.
- Ensure the updating and document these procedures in response to changes in tax legislation or business operations.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field; postgraduate studies (required)
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in Brazil tax (required)
- Strong knowledge of Brazil tax laws, regulations, and compliance requirements (required)
- Proven leadership skills with experience in mentoring and developing team members (required)
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail (required)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of collaborating effectively across departments (required)
- Proficiency in tax compliance software and tools (required)
- Experience of finance and tax process improvement is an advantage (nice-to-have)
- Fluency in English and Portuguese (required)
- Spanish is a plus (nice-to-have)
