Engineering Lead

Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end technical onboarding process for new operators
- Act as the primary technical point of contact to ensure seamless integration of our iGaming platform with partner ecosystems
- Manage and oversee the configuration of gaming products, payment gateways, and bonus engines to meet the unique operational requirements of diverse regional clients
- Drive technical localization efforts, including currency/payment method support, language implementation, and adherence to regional regulatory data requirements
- Provide high-level support for integration issues, identifying bottlenecks and coordinating with core engineering teams to resolve roadblocks quickly
- Collaborate closely with third-party providers (payment processors, game content aggregators, KYC/AML vendors) to ensure stable and performant service delivery
- Establish best practices for implementation workflows to reduce time-to-market for new clients
- Act as a technical subject matter expert for the regional office, providing mentorship to local technical staff and serving as the voice of the region to the central product and development teams
Requirements
- At least 5 years in a software engineering or technical implementation role, preferably within the iGaming, gambling, or high-transaction FinTech sectors
- Strong understanding of APIs (REST/JSON), Webhooks, and secure data integration patterns
- Experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS/GCP/Azure) and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes)
- Familiarity with database management (SQL/NoSQL) and troubleshooting high-concurrency systems
- Solid understanding of the African digital landscape, including nuances in payment infrastructures (e.g., mobile money integrations) and local connectivity challenges
- Exceptional ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and partners
- Proven ability to manage multiple high-stakes projects simultaneously
- Good problem-solver who thrives in the fast-paced, 24/7 nature of the gambling industry
- Open to travel to business trips and to HQ for meetings
- Knowledge of the English language is required, and knowledge of any additional language is an advantage
