Description

The Gaming Marketing & Events Manager is a critical, highly visible role that serves as a linchpin between BetMGM’s digital gaming organization and MGM Resorts International’s land‑based casino portfolio. The role is responsible for ensuring seamless alignment between online and retail gaming experiences by positioning and promoting BetMGM (MI) /Borgata Online (NJ) brands effectively across MGM properties with a focus on MGM Grand Detroit & Borgata Hotel, Casino & Spa.

Responsibilities
  • Acting as one of the primary points of contact for MGM, the Gaming Marketing & Events Manager will work alongside the Sr. Manager in strategy, execution, and optimization of integrated marketing initiatives which inspire existing land-based players to choose BetMGM (MI) /Borgata Online (NJ) as their preferred online gaming destination. This individual will play a key role in strengthening brand awareness, customer conversion, and long-term loyalty across our physical and digital channels.
  • In addition, the Gaming Marketing & Events Manager will lead and oversee gaming event/activation execution. Some examples this includes are on-property Big Pull events, VIP experience weekends with MGMAir & co-branded digital-to-retail campaigns that drive player acquisition and engagement through Betting Hero.
  • The role will partner closely with MGM marketing and special events teams, to ensure cohesive brand representation and seamless execution and guest experience.
  • Manage relationships between the BetMGM (MI)/Borgata Online (NJ) gaming teams and our land-based estate of MGM properties, with the principal goal of ensuring our BetMGM (MI)/Borgata Online (NJ) gaming labels are well advertised and presented within the properties. Timely support, regular communications, and prompt assistance with issues will all be commonplace.
  • Partner with MGM Property Special Events and Marketing teams to support balanced brand placements, on-property activations, and promotional visibility aligned with internal campaign calendars.
  • Serve as a day-to-day liaison between property teams (event operations and digital/physical signage) for BetMGM (MI) /Borgata Online (NJ) to coordinate logistics, staffing, promotional materials, and compliance requirements.
  • Oversee and provide day-to-day direction to the BetMGM (MI) /Borgata Online (NJ) gaming events/marketing team, guiding planning timelines, task prioritization, vendor coordination, and on-site execution to ensure successful delivery of all casino-related events and on-site activations.
  • Leverage the MGM Property Special Events calendar to see where omni-channel opportunities are possible to stand up.
  • Oversee and provide day-to-day direction to the gaming events/marketing team, guiding planning timelines, task prioritization, vendor coordination, and on-site execution to ensure successful delivery of all gaming-related events and activations.
  • Plan, coordinate, and execute gaming-related property events, including tournaments, promotional activations, VIP experiences, and brand showcases. Ensure events are delivered on time, on budget, and aligned with brand standards.
  • Maintain and manage a property-level gaming event calendar, ensuring alignment with marketing campaigns, seasonal initiatives, and corporate objectives.
  • Serve as a day-to-day liaison between property teams, event operations, and BetMGM (MI)/Borgata Online (NJ) gaming events/marketing team to coordinate logistics, staffing, promotional materials, and compliance requirements.
  • Support on-site event execution as needed, including betting hero support, vendor coordination, event setup, compliance, signage placement and troubleshooting.
  • Partner with the Business Intelligence team to analyze campaign and event performance, tracking KPIs such as attendance, new player acquisition, engagement, and ROI. Provide recommendations for improvement based on findings.
  • Collaborate with the CRM and Loyalty teams to support targeted communications for property-based campaigns and event promotions, ensuring messaging is timely and performance-driven.
  • Conduct competitive research on omnichannel gaming and property-based event strategies to identify trends, promotional mechanics, and opportunities for differentiation.
Requirements
  • 3+ years of experience in gaming, marketing, event management, hospitality, or related industry, with demonstrated ownership of live event execution.
  • Willingness and ability to travel regularly to east coast regional MGM properties to support planning meetings, team oversight, and on-site event execution, including evenings and weekends as business needs require.
  • Proven experience leading or directing an events team, providing day-to-day guidance, setting priorities, and ensuring accountability across planning and execution phases.
  • Demonstrated success executing live events and on-property activations, including vendor coordination, cross-functional alignment, budget management, and real-time problem-solving.
  • Experience collaborating across multiple departments (marketing, operations, VIP services, hospitality, and property leadership) to deliver integrated campaigns and seamless guest experiences.
  • Knowledge of online and land-based casino operations is preferred, with understanding of regulatory considerations in highly controlled environments.
  • Familiarity with regional MGM Resorts properties and/or BetMGM’s product ecosystem preferred.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple large-scale initiatives simultaneously while balancing regional priorities.
  • Strong commercial acumen with experience analyzing performance data, presenting insights clearly, and translating findings into actionable strategies.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at multiple levels.
  • Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and a proactive, solution-oriented mindset.
