Responsibilities
  • Assist with Review Direct Tax calculations
  • Assist with Review Indirect Tax calculations
  • Gaming Operational Review abd File the weekly, monthly and other periodic operational tax returns for all gaming entities in Africa
  • Operational tax includes Gaming Tax, Gaming VAT, WHT, Local VAT, Reverse VAT, Excise tax, Levies etc
  • Filing of CIT
  • Update the compliance tax calendar for all periodic tax compliance | filings
  • Groups tax provisions, effective tax rate calculations, corporate income and deferred tax
  • Groups tax provisions, effective tax rate calculations, corporate income and deferred tax (FM)
  • Assist finance team with accurate reporting for monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements for all group entities.
  • Ad-hoc tax related assistance on various tax projects and administration matters.
  • Help investigate anomalies on legislation
  • Check the validity of tax assumptions
  • Support on tax related audit processes (internal, external – statutory and tax authority) including the collection and provision of information to tax auditors.
  • Review & assist with updating of group tax matrixes and communicate updated where needed
  • Tax support in the expansion of the Africa business (new countries and regions)
  • Assist with taxation research for new regions.
  • Assist to operationalize new markets taxes, incl. tax accounting, set up on ERPs and on tax authorities’ filing portal.
  • Update and maintain compliance tracker for all Africa operating companies
  • Update and maintain tax audit tracker for all Africa operating companies
  • Assist to operationalize new markets tax accounting and set up on ERPs.
  • Effectively work as a team with relevant financial accountants and treasury team
  • Effectively communicate to manager and team members to ensure key deliverables are met on time and potential problems escalated
