IT System Administrator

Description

We are seeking a skilled IT Systems Administrator to join our technology team. This role is ideal for a highly organized, detail-oriented professional who excels at maintaining reliable IT operations, implementing system improvements, and supporting users in a fast-paced environment. You will play a key part in managing infrastructure, supporting daily IT activities, and ensuring the stability, security, and performance of our systems.

Responsibilities
  • Administer and maintain servers (Windows/Linux), storage systems, and virtualization platforms.
  • Monitor system health, performance, and availability to ensure operational continuity.
  • Implement system updates, patches, backups, and security hardening procedures.
  • Support LAN/WAN operations, including routers, switches, firewalls, and VPN connections.
  • Troubleshoot network performance issues and optimize configurations.
  • Maintain network monitoring tools and documentation.
  • Provide Tier 2/Tier 3 technical support for end users.
  • Manage user accounts, permissions, and access control across multiple systems.
  • Maintain IT service documentation, procedures, and asset inventories.
  • Implement and monitor cybersecurity best practices.
  • Assist in audits, risk assessments, and compliance requirements.
  • Respond to incidents, investigate alerts, and ensure secure configurations.
  • Participate in IT infrastructure upgrades and deployments.
  • Evaluate and implement new technologies that improve efficiency and reliability.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business needs.
Requirements
  • 3–5 years of experience as a Systems Administrator or similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of Windows Server and/or Linux systems.
  • Experience with virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V) and cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, Cloudflare).
  • Solid understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, firewalls).
  • Experience with Azure Entra, Group Policy, and identity solutions.
  • Familiarity with backup tools, monitoring systems, and patch management.
  • Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Good organization, time management, and prioritization.
  • Certifications such as Microsoft (MCSA/MCSE) (Nice to have).
  • Experience with scripting (PowerShell) (Nice to have).
  • Knowledge of ticketing systems (Nice to have).
  • Exposure to cybersecurity tools and threat monitoring (Nice to have).
