Middle .NET Developer
In this role, you will contribute to the design, development, and integration of evolving business functionalities within our payment gateway, a core component of our online gambling platform. Our system integrates with numerous Payment Service Providers (PSPs) across multiple markets, requiring continuous support, enhancement, and development of new integrations. You will work in a fast-paced, highly collaborative environment, where precision, reliability, and compliance are key. As our platform operates in multiple countries under diverse regulatory frameworks, you will help implement market-specific features and compliance requirements, ensuring secure and seamless payment operations across regions.
- Design, develop, and integrate new business functionalities on the platform, with a focus on integrations with Payment Service Providers (PSPs).
- Translate business requirements into robust, scalable, and maintainable software solutions.
- Collaborate closely with team leaders, product owners, and cross-functional technical teams to clarify requirements and align on implementation details.
- Contribute to the design, development, and evolution of the system architecture, including microservice-based components.
- Write clean, testable, and well-documented code in accordance with project guidelines and agile practices.
- Support QA teams during testing phases and assist in troubleshooting and resolving production issues.
- Participate in code reviews and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Maintain and enhance internal NuGet packages and shared components used across projects.
- Take ownership and responsibility during on-call duties, ensuring system reliability and timely incident resolution.
- Actively participates in onboarding new team members, conducting thorough code reviews to maintain high standards, and providing consistent mentoring to foster the technical growth of junior and middle-level peers.
- 2+ years of proven experience in backend development specialising in the .NET stack (required).
- Expert-level proficiency in C# and .NET 8+, with a strong preference for candidates experienced in memory management (required).
- Advanced knowledge of relational databases (PostgreSQL, MSSQL), including query optimisation and ACID properties (required).
- Experience using Redis for distributed caching (required).
- High proficiency in building, securing, and optimising high-performance web services using REST and gRPC (required).
- Deep commitment to SOLID principles, Design Patterns, and writing highly testable code through Unit and Integration tests (required).
- Familiarity with Saga and Outbox patterns for maintaining eventual consistency in distributed systems (required).
- Hands-on experience with microservice architectures and event-driven design using Kafka (required).
- Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes, including basic manifest configuration and working within K8s environments (required).
- Documented track record of contributing to shared internal libraries or NuGet packages (required).
- Proven track record of providing constructive feedback and conducting thorough code reviews for peers (required).
- Experience supporting code quality and maintaining architectural standards within development teams (required).
