Commercial Marketing Associate
FanDuel is seeking a Commercial Marketing Associate to help elevate customer engagement and marketing initiatives within the Horse Racing business unit. In this role, the associate will play a key part in shaping customer retention strategy, driving operational excellence, and supporting revenue-generating commercial initiatives.
The associate will partner closely with teams across VIP Operations, Finance, Product, and Commercial Analytics to enhance the customer experience, optimise marketing performance, and deliver commercial outcomes. This role reports to the Senior Commercial Manager of Racing.
- Own end-to-end execution of marketing campaigns, ensuring alignment with retention goals, commercial priorities, and budget constraints.
- Support the setup, QA, and deployment of automated customer journeys, ensuring accuracy, quality and compliance.
- Resolve campaign-level technical issues, such as deep linking, rendering, personalisation logic, and UX defects, to minimise operational, regulatory and business risk.
- Manage promotional budgets with precision, tracking spend, monitoring trends, and escalating risks or variances as needed.
- Analyse campaign performance data to uncover growth opportunities and influence future retention strategy.
- Identify and implement innovative lifecycle tactics to increase engagement, improve retention, and enhance perceived customer value.
- Work cross-functionally with creative and brand teams to develop high-impact campaign assets that drive customer engagement, excitement, and brand awareness.
- Develop deep expertise in marketing technology and data tools, including campaign platforms like Braze, XP and HighTouch, analytics workflows, and data warehouses, to improve execution efficiency and scalability.
- Contribute to a high-performing team culture by supporting teammates, sharing knowledge, and stepping in as needed to ensure team success.
- Minimum of 2+ years of experience in Customer Marketing or similar roles, with the ability to manage complex campaigns from conception to execution (required).
- Bachelor’s degree (required).
- Top-notch organisational and project management skills to handle concurrent initiatives and deadlines (required).
- Strong marketing mindset with a deep understanding of business levers and performance drivers (required).
- Comfort with data and insights to measure campaign success and track budgets (required).
- Understanding of marketing platforms, Email Service Providers (preferably Braze, Movable Ink, XP), and Customer Data Platform Technologies (e.g. Segment, HighTouch) (required).
- Strong communication skills with the ability to present insights clearly and effectively (required).
- Positive attitude and team-player mindset (required).
- Familiarity with design tools like Photoshop (nice-to-have).
- Passion for the gaming industry, and racing specifically (nice-to-have).
