Description

FanDuel is seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to join its Sports UX team as a UX Researcher. This role offers the opportunity to engage in meaningful work and real-life projects, providing an in-depth look into the inner workings of a premier sports-technology and entertainment company. The researcher will learn from innovative industry professionals and enhance their knowledge of User Experience processes in a fast-paced environment.

This position will support the New Ventures team. The researcher will collaborate closely with a multi-disciplinary team, including Product, Product Design, Content Design, Engineering, Marketing, Commercial, and Analytics, to integrate user insights into the product design and development process.

Responsibilities
  • Demonstrate an advanced understanding of our users and how they engage with our products.
  • Demonstrate a solid understanding of the product under study, including the relevant journeys, user needs, challenges, and the FanDuel business.
  • Successfully organise, facilitate, and analyse unmoderated and medium-complexity moderated user research.
  • Take measurable steps to learn how to conduct more complex studies.
  • Translate business questions or hypotheses into research objectives and a clear research plan.
  • Demonstrate storytelling skills by clearly and succinctly communicating research findings across various formats, while connecting it back to the business and customer goals (the “so what?”).
  • Identify and clearly articulate areas for improvement based on research findings.
  • Conduct heuristic analyses and make recommendations based on best practices.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 3+ years of previous User Experience Research experience (required).
  • Strong knowledge of User Experience Research methodologies and best practices (required).
  • Demonstrated success working as part of a cross-functional team that includes UX Design, Product, and Engineering (required).
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills (required).
  • Knowledge of sports and/or experience working within a heavily regulated industry (nice-to-have).
