Devops Engineer
A DevOps Engineer builds, tests, and maintains the infrastructure and the tools so that software can be developed and released. He or she also supports the organisation to automate parts of the developing, updating, testing, and releasing of software.
The role involves maintaining the Kindred platform and driving all changes through automation. The engineer will provide user support to engineering teams, understand requirements and project KPIs, and implement various development, testing, and automation tools and infrastructure. Setting up tools and required infrastructure, defining and setting development, test, release, update, and support processes for DevOps operation, and encouraging and building automated processes wherever possible are key aspects of the position. Incident management and root cause analysis are also part of the responsibilities. The engineer will support, develop, and deliver a platform to the organisation that follows DevOps principles, and assist the team in the company CCoE, implementing controls and operational best practice for cloud users. Keeping up to date with compliance training, supporting and acting in line with company values, sharing knowledge, contributing to team documentation, collaborating to achieve common goals, and following company processes, procedures, and methodologies are also expected.

- Understand Linux/Unix in general (required).
- Understand containerised applications and container orchestration tools (required).
- Experience within open source and appliance products (required).
- Understand how to work with large scale production systems and technologies (required).
- Software developer mindset, troubleshooting techniques, and solving problems through repeatable and testable automation (required).
- Understand both public and private cloud systems and services (required).
- Experience within shell scripting and programming language (required).
