Director of Sportsbook Product
The Director of Sportsbook Product is responsible for defining, driving, and executing the end-to-end product vision and roadmap for the Sportsbook vertical. This role leads the strategy, customer experience, and performance of the Sportsbook product across all markets, ensuring that the platform is competitive, innovative, compliant, and aligned with the company’s growth ambitions.
The individual will partner closely with Trading, Tech/Engineering, Operations, Data, UX, and Marketing teams to deliver a high-quality, differentiated player experience grounded in strong analytics and a deep understanding of customer behaviour.
- Define and own the long-term product vision for the Sportsbook platform across markets and the one internal sportsbook platform strategy.
- Translate customer insights, market trends, and competitive intelligence into a compelling product strategy.
- Ensure the product supports commercial performance targets (engagement, retention, revenue).
- Champion innovation in UX, features, markets, pricing tools, personalisation, and content.
- Build and prioritise a clear product roadmap balancing short-term delivery and long-term transformation.
- Oversee product lifecycle from ideation to launch, ensuring best-in-class execution.
- Secure cross-functional alignment and facilitate decision-making across stakeholders.
- Maintain strong governance and structured product sign-off processes.
- Manage the current multi-platform status (KSP, ABP and Kambi) in parallel of driving the one internal platform strategy.
- Produce high-quality product requirements, documentation, and specifications for Engineering.
- Partner with Tech on delivery planning, sprint priorities, and execution quality.
- Monitor release performance and drive continuous optimisation based on data, KPIs, and feedback.
- Ensure robust UAT and post-launch validation.
- Collaborate with Trading teams on pricing capabilities, in-play performance, risk tools, and operational workflows.
- Align with Marketing and CRM on customer journeys, promotions, segmentation, and conversion levers.
- Work with Operations to ensure platform stability, compliance, monitoring, and efficiency.
- Partner with Data & Insights teams to build a metrics-driven culture in product strategy.
- Partner with procurement on all third-party deals for sportsbook products.
- Ensure full compliance with all regulatory obligations across jurisdictions.
- Partner with Legal, Compliance, and local market teams to integrate responsible gaming and regulatory-by-design principles.
- Adapt product features to local market requirements and customer behaviour.
- Own Sportsbook product KPIs (NGR, ARPU, retention, engagement, margins, latency).
- Identify growth opportunities and performance gaps through rigorous analysis.
- Prepare regular business performance updates for leadership.
- Lead, mentor, and grow a team of Product Managers, Product Owners, UX, and analysts.
- 10-15+ years in Product Management, ideally in Sports Betting (required).
- Demonstrated success delivering large-scale B2C digital products (required).
- Strong experience with data-driven decision-making and high-velocity product delivery environments (required).
- Deep understanding of Sportsbook platforms, betting mechanics, markets, and trading workflows (required).
- Strong knowledge of UX/UI best practices and customer acquisition/retention levers (required).
- Experience with agile methodologies and product governance frameworks (required).
- Excellent communication, influencing, and stakeholder management (required).
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to simplify complexity (required).
- Leadership presence and ability to drive teams in fast-paced, high-stakes environments (required).
