Head of UX and UI Strategy

Description

This role is a horizontal leadership role responsible for defining and owning the overall experience vision across all products and brands. This role exists to bring coherence, consistency, and brand alignment to the end-to-end customer journey - connecting the dots that individual product teams cannot see in isolation. The role holder will govern the design systems and standards and acts as the senior design voice at leadership level, ensuring that great experience is not an accident of good individual teams, but a deliberate and consistently delivered outcome across the entire product and brand portfolio.

Responsibilities
  • Define and own the overarching UX/UI vision and design philosophy across all products, ensuring a coherent, consistent, and on-brand experience regardless of where the customer is in their journey.
  • Act as the single point of accountability for cross-product experience quality. Identifying gaps, inconsistencies, and friction points that individual product UX teams cannot see in isolation.
  • Govern the company-wide design systems and component libraries, ensuring all product teams are working on a shared, brand-aligned foundation.
  • Own the relationship between brand identity and product experience translating brand strategy into tangible UX principles, standards, and guardrails that all product teams must design within.
  • Define and embed UX standards, best practices, and governance processes across all product-aligned design teams, raising the overall quality and consistency of output.
  • Map and own the end-to-end customer experience across products identifying how journeys connect across Sportsbook, Casino, and other verticals and driving improvements across the journeys.
  • Lead, develop, and provide strategic direction to the distributed UX community across product/engineering teams, acting as the senior design voice in leadership conversations and ensuring UX has a seat at the table.
Requirements
  • Significant experience leading UX at a senior level across a broad product portfolio, with a demonstrable ability to bring structure, consistency, and intentionality to how experience is designed and delivered across an organisation (required).
  • Hands-on knowledge of design infrastructure, including how to build scalable, shared foundations that enable multiple teams to move quickly without compromising quality or coherence (required).
  • Strong instinct for the connection between how a brand presents itself and how customers experience it in product, with the ability to make that relationship explicit and actionable for design teams (required).
  • A natural influencer who can shape thinking and raise standards across teams they do not directly manage, and who is credible and impactful in senior leadership conversations (required).
  • Ability to take a wide-angle view of how customers move across products and touchpoints, spotting where the experience breaks down between teams and driving the cross-functional effort needed to fix it (required).
