Software Engineer, Java
FDJ UNITED is seeking a Full Stack Engineer to join one of its agile teams. The role involves working alongside experienced engineers to build features that span both backend and frontend technologies, with a focus on developing scalable and maintainable services for customer service back offices.
The successful candidate will participate in the full system and development life cycle, ranging from initial design discussions to the maintenance of products in production. - Build features that span both backend (Java, Spring) and frontend (React, JavaScript) technologies.
- Participate in the full system and development life cycle, from design discussions to production support.
- Develop a deep understanding of the interaction between frontend and backend systems.
- Focus on building scalable and maintainable services to power customer service back offices.
- Collaborate with team members and engage in code reviews and feedback processes.
- Troubleshoot code issues using logs, debugging tools, and team support.
- Foundational experience working as a Backend or Full Stack Developer/Engineer-you understand Java fundamentals and have worked with Spring or similar frameworks (required).
- Practical experience building user interfaces with JavaScript, TypeScript, and React-you know how to structure components and handle state (required).
- Understand how frontend and backend systems connect via REST APIs and can build features that span both layers (required).
- Used testing frameworks like Jest or JUnit and understand why testing matters (required).
- Worked with version control (Git) and are familiar with CI/CD concepts like automated testing and deployment pipelines (required).
- Comfortable troubleshooting code issues and asking for help when needed-you know how to use logs, debugging tools, and your team (required).
- Eager to learn and grow; you're not afraid to ask questions and take on new challenges in a supportive environment (required).
- Enjoy collaborating with teammates and are open to feedback on your code and approach (required).
- Used AI-assisted coding tools (like Cursor, GitHub Copilot, or ChatGPT) to help you write or understand code-you're comfortable with AI as a learning and productivity tool (required).
- Familiarity with event-driven systems or microservices architecture-even just understanding the concepts (nice-to-have).
- Any exposure to secure development practices or tools like OWASP or SNYK (nice-to-have).
