Engineering Manager
Reporting into the Head of Technology within the Generosity Value Stream, you will lead a cross-functional Feature Team, enable strong agile ways of working, and partner closely with product, data, and technology stakeholders to ensure efficient and sustainable delivery of customer outcomes. You will have 8-10 direct reports who utilise agile ways of working to deliver complex change across Sportsbet’s product set and enterprise technologies. Keeping a continuous focus on growing individuals, building team dynamics and uplifting agile practices are key success factors.
- Lead and own delivery outcomes for a cross-functional team, ensuring alignment to MDG objectives and project goals.
- Enable and evolve agile ways of working, facilitating ceremonies and empowering teams to self-manage.
- Manage backlogs, delivery plans, risks, dependencies, and release coordination.
- Provide clear delivery insights and progress updates to stakeholders across Technology, Product, and Data.
- Remove impediments and support teams to make effective delivery commitments.
- Partner with other Engineering Managers and leaders to drive cross-team collaboration and continuous improvement.
- Proven experience leading delivery or engineering teams in agile, high-volume environments. (required)
- Demonstrated experience working in teams that design, deploy, or leverage Agentic AI systems, including AI agents capable of autonomous task execution and workflow orchestration in business and technical environments. (required)
- Strong delivery leadership and management skills, with the ability to manage multiple workstreams and stakeholder expectations, driving people to the right outcomes. (required)
- An agile mindset, with hands-on experience facilitating ceremonies and championing agile practices. (required)
- Ability to communicate complex technical and delivery concepts clearly to diverse stakeholders. (required)
- Understanding of engineering excellence principles and balancing delivery with platform sustainability. (required)
