QA Engineer
The QA Engineer is responsible for independently executing test plans, building comprehensive test cases for new features, and introducing automation in repeatable testing scenarios. Working with moderate independence, the core purpose is to ensure software quality through strategic test design, execution, and risk assessment while supporting delivery timelines.
This role creates and maintains test cases for product features, performs comprehensive UI, API, and data validation testing, identifies edge cases and quality risks, contributes to test automation initiatives, and collaborates with cross-functional teams to clarify requirements and improve quality processes.
- Creating and maintaining comprehensive test cases that cover functional, edge case, and integration scenarios.
- Expected to execute independently within epics and features, improving test coverage and test case design quality.
- Performing UI, API, and data validation testing across different test types and environments.
- Identifying edge cases, quality risks, and sharing insights with stakeholders to inform decision-making.
- Expected to assess and clearly communicate risk impact to stakeholders.
- Contributing to test automation efforts in repeatable scenarios to improve efficiency and coverage.
- Improving quality reporting through effective use of testing tools and dashboards.
- Participating in requirements clarification sessions to ensure testability and quality considerations are addressed early.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or relevant work experience (required).
- For Serbia – 5, 6.1 level qualification per the National Qualifications Framework of Serbia (NOKS) (required).
- Typically 2–5 years of professional QA experience (required).
- Proficiency in regression and exploratory testing techniques (required).
- Experience with browser developer tools for debugging and issue investigation (required).
- API testing using Postman, Swagger, REST clients, or similar tools (required).
- Basic automation skills using frameworks like Cypress or Playwright (required).
- SQL queries for data validation and verification (required).
- Experience with Jira and TestRail or equivalent tools (required).
- Strong collaboration skills with developers, product managers, and cross-functional partners (required).
- Reliable communication of testing progress, blockers, and quality status (required).
- Proactively identifies defects, quality risks, and improvement opportunities (required).
- Self-directed and accountable for assigned testing areas (required).
