Senior Data Engineer
Moonshot Marketing is seeking a visionary Senior Data Engineer to join our data & engineering team. In this role, you won’t just build pipelines-you’ll architect the backbone of our intelligence layer. You will design and optimize scalable data infrastructure that powers both traditional analytics and our next generation of AI-driven agents. You’ll take full ownership of end-to-end data solutions, playing a decisive role in how we ingest, transform, and leverage data to drive autonomous decision-making in a fast-paced, global environment.
- Architect & Build: Design and maintain robust, scalable data pipelines that support both BI and AI Agent workflows.
- AI Data Strategy: Develop and optimize data retrieval systems for LLMs, ensuring high-quality context for our autonomous agents.
- Lead Infrastructure: Define the next generation of our data architecture, focusing on reliability and extreme scalability.
- Automate Everything: Streamline data ingestion and transformation to ensure 100% data integrity for downstream AI models.
- Optimize Storage: Manage and optimize cloud-based databases and large-scale storage systems for performance and cost.
- Collaborate: Work closely with AI researchers, PMs, and analysts to deliver end-to-end data solutions that power global operations.
- Mentor: Set the bar for code quality, documentation, and engineering excellence within the team.
- 5+ years of experience in data engineering, with a proven track record of leading complex projects.
- Strong programming skills in at least one language: Python (highly preferred for AI workflows), Go, or Java.
- High proficiency in SQL as a primary query and data-management language.
- Hands-on experience building data pipelines for LLMs, including RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) architectures and orchestrating AI agents.
- Proven experience building and maintaining scalable ETL/ELT processes and big-data workflows.
- Deep experience with AWS (S3, Lambda, DynamoDB, SQS, CloudFormation).
- Expertise in Snowflake, dbt, ArgoFlow, and Vector Databases (e.g., Pinecone, Milvus, or Weaviate).
- Familiarity with microservices, CI/CD, and DevOps tools (Docker, Kubernetes, Git, ArgoCD).
- Ability to mentor junior engineers and advocate for engineering best practices.
- B.Sc./M.Sc. in Computer Science, Mathematics, or related fields (Advantage).
- Experience with data visualization (QuickSight) and logging systems (Elasticsearch) (Advantage).
