Reporting Engineer
The IMS team at Playtech is looking for a diligent, proactive, and detail-oriented Reporting Engineer with strong analytical and system thinking skills.
This role involves designing and developing high-performing SQL queries and reporting solutions that handle large and complex datasets. The engineer will troubleshoot and optimise existing reports, ensuring faster performance, improved scalability, and stronger data integrity. Collaboration with cross-functional teams is key to understanding reporting needs and translating them into efficient technical solutions. The role also focuses on guaranteeing data consistency by analysing dependencies between reports and proactively identifying potential issues, while continuously improving reporting processes by introducing automation and best practices.
- Design and develop high-performing SQL queries and reporting solutions that handle large and complex datasets.
- Troubleshoot and optimise existing reports, ensuring faster performance, improved scalability, and stronger data integrity.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand reporting needs and translate them into efficient technical solutions.
- Guarantee data consistency by analysing dependencies between reports and proactively identifying potential issues.
- Continuously improve reporting processes, introducing automation and best practices to enhance efficiency.
- Extensive knowledge of writing efficient SQL queries, spotting problematic areas, and optimising them for performance (required).
- Strong experience working with large datasets and designing queries that balance speed and accuracy (required).
- Deep understanding of relational databases and database architecture (required).
- Analytical thinking, attention to detail, effective time management, and strong collaboration skills (required).
- Proactive and systematic approach to improving processes and outcomes (required).
- Hands-on experience with JavaScript, Python, or Java, especially in integrating reporting solutions with broader systems (nice-to-have).
