MI Developer

Description

An exciting opportunity has emerged for an MI Developer as part of the Compliance MI team here at evoke. In this role, you will help produce operational reports and MI dashboards to Compliance teams so we can make sure our customers are as safe as possible when betting. A key part of this will be communicating and working with Compliance stakeholders to effectively produce reports based on their requirements. You will also collaborate with other members of the wider Business Analytics team, including Analytics, Commercial MI and Data Scientists, to produce the said reports, mainly working with tools like Power BI, Snowflake and Power Automate. It's an exciting time to join as we move the goalposts within our team to see how we can incorporate AI into our work.

Responsibilities
  • Gathering requirements from stakeholders in order to transform these into MI dashboards and operational reporting.
  • Compiling monthly and quarterly regulatory reports across our Online and Retail business.
  • Picking up ad hoc requests that come in from stakeholders.
  • Performing UAT on new datasets to make sure they are usable for accurate reporting.
  • Creating views and stored procedures within Snowflake to facilitate the above reports.
  • Contributing to semantic model creation to create a one source of truth hub for our reporting data.
Requirements
  • Experience in an MI/BI Developer role and strong SQL skills (required).
  • Strong Data visualisation skills (e.g. Power BI, Tableau, Looker) (required).
  • Experience with modern cloud data platforms (e.g. Snowflake) (required).
  • A degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science or another quantitative field (required).
  • Knowledge of how to use Power Automate is advantageous, as well as knowledge of data modelling concepts and AI tools are also advantageous (e.g. ChatGPT) (nice-to-have).
  • Understanding of semantic models is desirable (preferred).
