The People & Talent Data Analyst is responsible for providing data-driven insights across the full employee lifecycle to support strategic decision-making within Talent Acquisition, HR Operations, Learning & Development, Employee Experience, and Transformation including B-BBEE and Employment Equity.
- Develop and maintain dashboards and reports across the employee lifecycle.
- Analyse trends in workforce demographics, turnover, absenteeism, performance, and engagement.
- Data reporting on workforce planning, REM and KPI scorecards.
- Assist on executing on Group compensation, benchmarking, job grading exercises.
- Provide regular People & Culture reporting to leadership.
- Drive data integrity across HR systems (HRIS, ATS, LMS).
- Develop automated reporting templates and trackers in Excel to minimise manual intervention.
- Respond to ad hoc reporting requests with a strong focus on clarity, accuracy and turnaround speed.
- Present data findings clearly, highlighting trends, risks and opportunities.
- Conduct ad hoc market research to support HR projects (e.g., compensation trends, attrition patterns, competitor analysis).
- Maintain accurate B-BBEE, EE, and Skills Development data.
- Prepare statutory reports and track transformation metrics.
- Ensure alignment with compliance requirements.
- Build predictive models and conduct deep-dive analyses.
- Support organisational design and culture-related initiatives.
- Support workforce and headcount planning with data modelling.
- Clear, confident communication (written and verbal), and the ability to breakdown complex ideas

- Knowledge of B-BBEE and EE legislation
- Degree in HR, Industrial Psychology, Data Analytics, Statistics or similar
- 3–5+ years in People Analytics or HR Reporting
- Experience with B-BBEE and EE data highly advantageous
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Statistics or a related field
- 1–2 years of experience in a data or analytical role
- Intermediate to advanced Excel (formulas, pivot tables, Power Query)
- Intermediate Power BI (data modelling, DAX, dashboard design)
- Strong data accuracy and quality control skills
- Logical and methodical problem-solver
- Ability to interpret data into meaningful insights
- In-depth knowledge of sports betting markets, including odds calculation, betting types and market trends (desirable)
- Previous experience in the online gaming or casino industry, with a strong understanding of player behaviour and industry regulations (desirable)
- Familiarity with gambling regulations and compliance requirements in various jurisdictions, ensuring adherence to legal standards (desirable)
- SQL or Python advantageous (desirable)
