As Product Owner within the Product Management Department, you will play a critical operational role in delivering the Experience Team roadmap. Working under the strategic direction of the Product Manager, you will translate roadmap initiatives into clearly defined, prioritised, and actionable work for the development team. You will own the team backlog, ensure sprint readiness, and drive day-to-day execution to deliver value efficiently and predictably. While the Product Manager focuses on strategy, vision, stakeholder alignment, and long-term roadmap planning across Acquisition and Retention, you will ensure that delivery is structured, prioritised, and aligned with those strategic objectives.

Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with the Product Manager to align on product strategy, goals, and key initiatives.
  • Translate high-level roadmap initiatives and business requirements into detailed user stories with clear goals and success criteria.
  • Ensure features are well-defined, technically feasible, and delivered to agreed timelines and meet the expectations.
  • Prioritise backlog items to maximise value delivery across Acquisition and Retention, ensuring alignment with strategic focus areas.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for the development team on day-to-day product queries and clarifications. Work with cross-functional teams (Legal, Compliance, Engineering, Design) to clarify details and implement solutions.
  • Participate in sprint planning, refinement sessions, reviews, and retrospectives to ensure effective execution.
  • Provide regular updates on delivery progress, risks, and dependencies to the Product Manager and relevant stakeholders.
  • Facilitate workshops and refinement sessions to clarify requirements and align on scope.
  • Ensure transparency around backlog priorities and sprint commitments across Acquisition and Retention initiatives.
Requirements
  • Proven experience as a Product Owner or similar role in iGaming
  • Strong knowledge of the Acquisition and Retention domains, including player journeys, game integrations, bonus mechanics, and operational constraints
  • Experience working with Agile development teams and managing backlogs

  • Ability to balance technical feasibility, regulatory compliance requirements, and business priorities when making execution-level decisions
  • Solid communication and leadership skills
  • Proven stakeholder management and problem-solving skills, with the ability to navigate complexity in a regulated environment.
  • Experience working with Smartico (or similar CRM/engagement automation platforms) is a strong advantage.
  • Familiarity with industry regulations and compliance standards
  • Product ownership certification (CSPO, PSPO, or equivalent).
  • Experience in the iGaming or similar regulated technology sector.
