Network Engineer

Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Network Engineer to architect, optimize, and maintain robust network infrastructure across multiple global sites. The role involves managing core network components, ensuring high availability and redundancy, and unifying routing strategies to enhance network resilience. The ideal candidate will also collaborate on network documentation, support other infrastructure technologies, and contribute to the scalability and performance of the network to meet business demands.

Responsibilities
  • Design and optimize global core network infrastructure, ensuring seamless connectivity and redundancy.
  • Manage and maintain firewalls, routers, switches, and VPN concentrators in corporate and production environments.
  • Implement high availability and redundancy using technologies such as VRRP and clustering.
  • Conduct capacity planning to ensure network infrastructure meets current and future business needs.
  • Develop and unify global routing strategies using protocols like BGP and OSPF.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of all network topologies in collaboration with the team.
  • Provide support for VMware, servers, SAN storage, backups, and other on-site infrastructure technologies.
Requirements
  • Proven experience as a Network Engineer with expertise in routing, switching, and firewall management (Fortinet and Cisco).
  • Hands-on experience with VMware, SAN storage, backup technologies, and Windows/Linux servers.
  • Strong understanding of network protocols (e.g., SNMP, BGP/MBGP, OSPF, STP/RSTP, VXLAN) and scripting languages.
  • Experience building and maintaining monitoring tools like LibreNMS, Observium, or SolarWinds.
  • Familiarity with AWS, including VPCs, TGW peering, security groups, and site-to-site VPNs.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
  • Industry certifications such as CCNP are preferred but not mandatory.
