Platform Engineer I
As a Platform Engineer I, you will be responsible for helping implement the design, automation, deployment, and maintenance of scalable, secure, and efficient infrastructure systems that support our products and services. You will ensure the platform is robust, reliable, and ready to meet demand. Reporting to your Tech Lead, you will be part of the Platform Engineering Team, who build and maintain the core infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, automation frameworks, and an Internal Developer Platform to enable self-service capabilities for development teams. You will work closely with development and operations teams to enable rapid delivery of high-quality software while ensuring system stability, scalability, and security. In the world of AI you will be responsible for creating Agentic AI workflows to accelerate colleagues across product & technology. - Support implementation and evolve an Internal Developer Platform that provides self-service capabilities for provisioning environments, deploying services, and managing infrastructure.
- Shell scripting, Python/Java, and Ansible.
- Help implement and create agentic AI workflows.
- Manage Kubernetes clusters and deploy containerised applications at scale.
- Build and maintain GitLab CI/CD pipelines for automated testing, building, and deployment.
- Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions with Prometheus, Grafana, and ELK Stack/Datadog.
- Ensure infrastructure security best practices and maintain clear documentation.
- Collaborate with developers to improve onboarding, service templates, and workflows within the IDP.
- 1 or more years of experience in a DevOps, Platform Engineering, or similar role (required).
- Proven experience in designing or contributing to an Internal Developer Platform or developer productivity tools (required).
- Strong skills in Shell scripting (Bash/PowerShell) and programming (Python or Java) (required).
- Hands-on experience with Ansible, Kubernetes, and GitLab CI/CD (required).
- Proficiency with Git version control and branching strategies (required).
- Strong AI skills use (required).
- Knowledge of monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana) and logging solutions (ELK/Datadog) (required).
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS or GCP (required).
- Strong understanding of infrastructure and application security best practices (required).
