Senior Strategy Manager, Canada
Entain’s Americas and Southern Europe Strategy team is looking to hire a Senior Strategy Manager for its Canadian operations to help support the local team setting and executing the strategy to drive financial performance. Reporting to the Associate Director of Strategy for the region, this exciting role serves as the connective tissue between strategy and execution, working with local and regional leadership teams to lead high impact strategic planning topics and engaging with local operational teams to deliver results. This highly exciting role will work with all commercial functions in Canada as well as multiple groups across central Entain, including Digital, Product and Technology, Operations, Marketing, Sales, as well as regional corporate leadership. We are looking for talented Strategy professionals with the highest standards of integrity who have previously worked in Strategy Consulting at a top tier global firm and are looking for an opportunity to work in a fast-paced commercial environment. The successful candidate must have experience developing and implementing commercial strategy frameworks, have demonstrable experience of influencing Executive leaders on key strategic and investment topics, and have experience executing commercial due diligence and growth strategy initiatives. Experience with large-scale transformations and project management a strong plus. Experience within the sports and gaming vertical is helpful for this role, but not essential.
- Support high-visibility, growth strategy projects by conducting strategic analysis, financial modeling and synthesizing conclusions to be presented to internal executive leaders and functional leads
- Support development and implementation of plans to operationalize strategy to drive revenue growth, market expansion, and competitive positioning in Canada
- Provide strategic guidance to and support engagement with key external vendors (e.g., sports and media partners, suppliers, agencies)
- Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and regulatory developments to identify opportunities and risks
- Work closely with cross-functional teams (product, marketing, finance, etc.) to develop and implement structure to evaluate and optimize performance.
- Analyze data to derive business insights in order to guide strategic decision-making
- Contribute industry knowledge, thought leadership and a growth perspective to the organization
- Facilitate the flow of ideas and information within the broader company
- Strong undergraduate degree (required)
- Extensive experience in strategy consulting at a top tier consultancy (McKinsey, BCG, Bain, OW, Kearney) with 6-10 years post undergrad or more than 2-3 years post MBA (required)
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and deal with ambiguity (required)
- Knowledge and ability to apply business frameworks (e.g. value chain, competitive forces, core competency analysis) (required)
- Proficiency in Excel & data analysis (required)
- Proficiency in business writing and verbal communications, including delivery of presentations to executive business leaders (required)
- Proficiency with project management and operational execution (required)
- Strong interest in betting, games, media, technology, and entertainment industries (preferred)
- Fluent English speaker (required)
