Incident Analyst Intern
This is an entry-level opportunity for someone looking to start their career in IT Operations and Incident Management. As an Intern, you will learn how technology services are monitored, how incidents are handled, and how teams work together to keep systems running smoothly. You will be embedded within the Technology Operations team, supporting Incident Analysts with day-to-day tasks while gaining hands-on experience with industry-standard tools and processes.
- Assist with monitoring dashboards and alerting tools to help detect potential issues.
- Shadow experienced analysts during incident triage, classification, and resolution.
- Help document incidents by updating tickets with accurate information and timelines.
- Learn to use our ticketing and communication tools (Jira, Confluence, Slack).
- Participate in post-incident reviews to understand root cause analysis.
- Assist with administrative tasks such as updating documentation and Knowledge Base articles.
- Support shift handovers by preparing summaries and status updates.
- Contribute ideas for improving processes or documentation.
- Leverage the power of AI to improve the overall Incident Management process.
- Complete assigned learning modules and certifications (e.g., ITIL Foundation).
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field (required).
- Basic understanding of IT concepts (networking, operating systems, applications) (required).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills (required).
- Eagerness to learn and ask questions (required).
- Ability to work in a team environment (required).
