Senior QA Engineer
Growe is looking for a Senior QA Engineer to design and execute comprehensive test scenarios for RESTful microservices. The role involves validating complex financial logic to ensure precision in wallet balances, deposits, and withdrawals across various currencies. The engineer will be responsible for testing the integration between internal services and third-party providers, as well as verifying data consistency and state transitions directly in the database. The position requires active involvement in development and release processes, including participation in grooming sessions and collaboration with developers and product managers to ensure zero-downtime deployments.
- Design and execute comprehensive test scenarios for RESTful microservices.
- Understand HTTP methods, status codes, headers, and payload structures (JSON/XML) inside out.
- Validate complex financial logic, ensuring wallet balances, deposits, and withdrawals are calculated with absolute precision across various currencies.
- Test the handshake between our internal services and third-party providers, extra services and other team dependencies.
- Verify data consistency and state transitions directly in the database (SQL) before and after request processing.
- Investigate issues by analyzing server-side logs (Grafana/Loki/Opensearch) and tracing request flows through microservices.
- Collaborate with developers and product managers to sign off on releases, ensuring zero-downtime deployments and backward compatibility.
- Maintain clear, concise test documentation and API contracts (Swagger/OpenAPI).
- Involving all the time into development and release processes for better QA processes, participate in grooming sessions.
- 4+ years of professional experience in Quality Assurance, with a strong focus on Backend/API testing (required)
- Strong understanding of software testing theory and methodologies (required)
- Good understanding of client-server architecture (required)
- Familiarity with Git flows and CI/CD concepts (understanding how code moves from dev to production) (required)
- Experience testing systems using message brokers (e.g., Kafka, RabbitMQ) (required)
- Ability to read or write basic scripts to generate test data or automate simple API calls (even if the role is manual, this helps) (required)
- Experience in Gambling, Betting, FinTech, or Banking sectors will be a plus (nice-to-have)
- Experience in DB queries (SQL) - will be a plus (nice-to-have)
- Understanding of basic security testing and authentication protocols (OAuth2, JWT) (required)
