Senior Automation QA Engineer (Selenium + Playwright)

Description

We’re looking for a Senior QA Automation Engineer to strengthen our quality engineering efforts across UI and API testing. The ideal candidate will be hands-on with Selenium, Playwright, experienced with Postman, REST Assured, and driven to contribute to framework enhancements, suggest improvements, and champion quality within an Agile setup.

Responsibilities
  • Design, enhance, and maintain scalable automation frameworks for UI and API testing using Selenium, Playwright.
  • Ability to develop and maintain automation test scripts for Selenium, Playwright in Java, Typescript programming language.
  • Develop and execute automated regression, smoke, and functional test suites integrated with CI/CD pipelines.
  • Proactively identify gaps, suggest process and framework improvements, and drive adoption of best practices.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define test strategies, improve coverage, and ensure high-quality releases.
  • Manage test cases, execution results, and reporting in TestRail.
  • Participate actively in Agile ceremonies, contributing to sprint planning, estimations, and retrospectives.
  • Mentor junior QA engineers and help evolve automation standards across teams.
  • Foster a culture of innovation, ownership, and continuous learning within the QA organization.
  • Works in a team of QA Professionals within their discipline.
  • Communicate daily/weekly goals and monitor and report self-progress.
  • Ensure tasks are completed to achieve self-goals.
  • Communicate with other departments within LNW to prevent issues from arising and correct existing problems during the development cycle.
  • Escalations of any product issues found during testing are properly communicated.
  • Own continuous improvement for existing and new test processes and methodologies.
  • Responsible for ensuring that proper communication regarding testing is maintained throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Responsible for mentorship, evaluations, conflict resolution and recognition of the staff to maintain highly motivated and engaged employees.
  • Ensures automation is developed through the agreed acceptance criteria.
  • Recommends software test methodologies/procedures/tools that provide value.
  • Adhere to all current QA Processes.
  • Develops new/ maintain tests scripts within the current Test Automation framework.
  • Review requirements, specifications, and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback.
  • Estimate, prioritise, planned and coordinate testing activities
  • Troubleshooting quality issues and modifying test procedures
Requirements
  • 6–9 years of experience in QA automation and Java, Typescript Programming
  • Proven hands-on experience with Selenium, Playwright for UI automation.
  • Solid experience in API testing using Postman or REST Assured
  • Experience integrating automation with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI).
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodology and TestRail (or similar test management tools).
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Proactive and detail-oriented with a continuous improvement mindset.
