Casino Insight Lead

Description

Playtech's Casino Unit is looking for a proactive Casino Insight Lead with excellent communication and problem-solving skills. This role involves interpreting and communicating business insights, conducting analysis on business performance, and presenting findings to senior audiences and customers. The lead will also manage automated reporting and dashboard tools, act as a liaison between BI and operational/commercial teams, and contribute to BI/Data projects. Maintaining accuracy, attention to detail, and improving data supply and processes are key aspects of this influential mission.

Responsibilities
  • Be data savvy and an expert with SQL/data tools, interpreting and communicating business insights.
  • Conduct analysis on business performance to provide reports and insights on B2B customers, content, product performance, and operational matters.
  • Effectively construct and present findings to senior audiences and customers.
  • Take control of automated reporting and dashboard tools (e.g., PowerBI).
  • Act as a link between BI and operational/commercial teams, fulfilling business needs and driving value through insightful data analysis.
  • Proactively improve data supply and processes through collaboration with wider teams to achieve our common data strategy.
  • Be involved in BI/Data projects including data warehousing, reporting/dashboard tool development, event stream analytics, metadata alignment, and cleaning.
  • Maintain accuracy and attention to detail, constantly challenging, validating, monitoring, and improving quality.
  • Conduct QBR’s (quarterly business review meetings with B2B customers, where you will present benchmarking and insight analysis), and supporting Playtech commercial teams.
  • Have involvement with Casino B2B CRM analytics.
  • Mentor and coach individuals within the BI team and across the wider organisation to improve knowledge of BI & Analytics, data literacy and insight.
Requirements
  • Hold a degree in a quantitative area (Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, Computer Science) or have proven knowledge and experience in this area.
  • Have around 5 years of experience in an analytics or a business intelligence role in a large scale, complex, international business (eCommerce type preferably).
  • Have advanced knowledge of SQL and database technologies.
  • Are experienced with BI reporting/dashboarding/ETL tools.
  • Possess advanced statistical, applied maths, or financial modelling experience (advantageous).
  • Have experience in analytics or a business intelligence role in a large-scale, complex eCommerce type business.
  • Have a proven track record of delivering significant analytical/data projects.
  • Demonstrate strong strategic thinking, prioritization, and problem-solving skills in changing environments.
  • Work quickly with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail, learning the intricacies of our business operations quickly.
  • Are good at communication and presenting in tricky circumstances to customers and internal stakeholders.
  • Experience in the gambling industry (highly desirable).
  • Advanced statistical, applied maths, or financial modelling experience.
