Associate Data Analyst

Description

This Associate Data Analyst role is an entry-level position within the Data Intelligence Unit (DIU). The focus is on developing strong analytical foundations while supporting insight delivery across Content, CRM, Product and Commercial teams. This role is ideal for a numerically strong graduate who is commercially curious and wants to build a career in data analytics. This role is a hybrid role based in our Central London Office near Southbank 3 days a week, with 2 days from home. You will work closely with Analysts and Senior Analysts, learning how to query and structure complex datasets, produce high-quality insight, support experimentation and impact measurement, and communicate findings clearly.

Responsibilities
  • Write SQL queries to extract and prepare data
  • Support recurring analysis and reporting
  • Assist in exploratory behavioural analysis
  • Contribute to insight generation under guidance from senior team members
  • Help identify trends and anomalies in customer behaviour
  • Assist in measuring campaign and product performance
  • Support data validation and QA processes
  • Help document datasets and analytical processes
  • Maintain reporting accuracy
  • Develop Python skills to support automation
  • Learn experimentation frameworks and measurement principles
  • Continuously build technical and commercial understanding
Requirements
  • Degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Data Science, Computer Science or similar quantitative discipline (required)
  • Strong numerical ability and analytical thinking (required)
  • Basic SQL knowledge (academic or internship experience acceptable) (required)
  • Basic Python knowledge (pandas familiarity advantageous) (required)
  • Curiosity and willingness to learn (required)
  • Strong communication skills (required)
  • Internship or placement experience in analytics (preferred)
  • Experience with data visualisation tools (preferred)
  • Interest in sport, betting markets or digital products (preferred)
