Description

The Chief of Staff & Head of PMO role is shared across Trustly's Product and Technology organisations, serving as the operational backbone for critical hiring and transformation initiatives. The role involves driving change management, keeping leadership aligned, and ensuring that programs remain on track as the business scales.

As the connective tissue across Trustly's Product and Technology leadership, the individual in this position will drive operational excellence and manage high-visibility cross-functional programs. The role requires an operator capable of moving seamlessly between strategic planning and execution to ensure the leadership team remains well-coordinated and focused on key priorities.

Responsibilities
  • Serve as Chief of Staff to Trustly's P&T leadership by managing the operating cadence, preparing executive materials, driving follow-through on key decisions, and acting as a force multiplier for senior leaders.
  • Own Trustly's P&T PMO by establishing and running program management frameworks, tooling, and reporting to provide clear visibility into the status, risks, and dependencies of major initiatives.
  • Lead cross-functional program management for Trustly's H2 2026 hiring and team-building initiative by coordinating across Recruiting, Finance, and P&T leaders.
  • Identify and drive resolution of organisational blockers by acting as a trusted intermediary to surface issues, facilitate decisions, and align stakeholders across teams and time zones.
  • Own P&T planning cycles including headcount planning, OKR tracking, budget coordination, and the quarterly business review process.
  • Partner with the CEO, CTO, and CPO on strategic initiatives, board prep, and special projects as needed.
Requirements
  • 10+ years of experience in strategy, operations, program management, or chief of staff roles at a fast-growing technology company (required).
  • Fintech or payments experience (preferred).
  • Exceptionally organised with the ability to run tight operating rhythms and produce crisp materials (required).
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinker capable of synthesising complex inputs into clear recommendations and navigating ambiguity (required).
  • High EQ and excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust quickly and influence without authority (required).
  • Fluent in program and project management methodologies and tooling such as Jira or Linear (required).
  • Ability to build lightweight PMO structures that add value without adding bureaucracy (required).
  • Comfortable operating at pace in a global organisation across time zones (required).
  • Based in New York with the ability to travel as needed (required).
