Facilities Technician
This role is responsible for the ongoing maintenance and support of the company's building systems. The Facilities Technician will ensure that mechanical systems are consistent with health and safety standards and will conduct repairs when necessary. This position also involves assisting in the setup of various systems and performing manual repairs.
The Facilities Technician will also supervise and escort specialists and sub-contractors working with the building technical systems and perform basic electrical work, determining when an electrician is required. The role includes maintaining heating and plumbing systems to ensure functionality and performing other maintenance duties as assigned.
- Transport and carry goods or equipment as assigned.
- Provide ongoing maintenance and support of the company`s building systems and be able to fix minor defects, identify and report the need for major repairs.
- Survey buildings and repair mechanical systems to ensure they are consistent with health and safety standards.
- Assist in the setup of ventilation, refrigeration and other systems and conduct repairs when necessary.
- Dismantles and installs and repairs furniture if required.
- Perform manual repairs when necessary (fix locks, replace windows, local wall painting, putty, replaces light bulbs, makes minor plumbing repairs etc.).
- Supervise and escort specialists and sub-contractors working with the building technical systems.
- Performs basic electrical work and determines when a electrician is required.
- Maintain heating and plumbing systems to ensure functionality.
- Performs other maintenance duties as assigned by the direct manager.
- At least secondary education.
- Basic knowledge of English language.
- Knowledge of general maintenance processes and methods.
- Manual dexterity and problem-solving skills.
- Basic knowledge of MS Office.
