Director Finance Decision Support
The Director of Finance Decision Support is a strategic leader responsible for architecting and executing enterprise-wide initiatives that modernize and elevate the finance function. This role drives operational excellence, digital enablement, and data-driven decision-making across FP&A, commercial finance, and core financial operations. The ideal candidate combines deep financial acumen with a passion for innovation, automation, and scalable infrastructure.
- Develop future-state operating models that support scalability, margin optimization, and cross-functional alignment.
- Lead cross-functional transformation programs across FP&A, deals desk, and finance operations.
- Champion a culture of continuous improvement, data-backed decisions, and change leadership.
- Drive adoption of emerging technologies (AI, RPA, machine learning, cloud) to streamline workflows and reduce manual effort.
- Partner with IT to evaluate and update workflow tools that enhance scalability and insight generation.
- Ensure data integrity, governance, and accessibility across platforms.
- Transform forecasting, budgeting, and performance management processes to improve agility and accuracy.
- Lead development of predictive models, scenario planning, and sensitivity analyses to support strategic initiatives.
- Build and maintain scalable dashboards and reporting tools using BI platforms (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
- Translate complex data into clear, compelling narratives for executive audiences.
- Identify and execute process improvement opportunities in partnership with business partners and COEs.
- Conduct market research and competitive analysis to inform investment decisions and long-term planning.
- Support organic and inorganic growth initiatives through financial modeling and strategic analysis.
- Assist with special projects including system implementations, process improvements, and ad-hoc analysis
- Create sensitivity analysis and scenario models to support strategic decision-making and risk assessment
- Serve as a trusted partner to senior leaders by delivering actionable insights, forecasting, and performance diagnostics.
- Support pricing optimization, margin analysis, and customer segmentation strategies.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; MBA or CPA preferred.
- 12+ years of progressive experience in finance, with a strong track record in transformation leadership.
- Expertise in FP&A, financial systems, automation technologies, and strategic business partnering.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel, SQL, Power BI/Tableau, and financial modeling.
- Exceptional communication, stakeholder management, and change leadership skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven mindset
- Ability to build relationships with stakeholders at all levels
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to think from a “big picture” perspective
