Senior Software Engineer - Social Gaming
Legend is hiring a Senior Software Engineer to shape the technical foundation of a high-growth product in the social gaming space. This role involves designing and implementing backend and platform architecture for real-time tournaments, focusing on scalable, secure, and high-performing systems. The engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver quality solutions using modern practices like Domain-Driven Design, SOLID, and GRASP. - Design and implement application architecture that is scalable, maintainable, observable, and high-performing.
- Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code.
- Conduct code reviews, review architecture, and contribute to engineering best practices.
- Identify and optimise performance bottlenecks across systems.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver impactful features.
- Ensure application security, implementing safeguards against vulnerabilities.
- Proven experience delivering large-scale systems in production.
- Strong grounding in Domain-Driven Design, API-first architecture, and software design patterns.
- Proficiency in JavaScript (React/Next) or another backend language, ideally Node.js or PHP.
- Experience with Pub/Sub, websockets, and Server-Sent Events (SSE).
- Preferably, experience with MySQL and creating white-label products.
- A strong product engineering mindset - able to translate requirements into technical designs and ship features end-to-end.
- Starting salary from 3000 EUR per month.
