Description
We are looking for a Senior SDET to join our team. This role involves designing, developing, and maintaining scalable and maintainable automation frameworks for UI, API, and integration testing. You will be responsible for safeguarding product quality through proactive testing and automation strategies, and mentoring other engineers in test automation practices.
Responsibilities
- Access automation needs in Domain
- Promote automation excellence among the SDETs and QAEs in Domain
- Actively contribute to the improvement of the test framework and testing infrastructure.
- Mentor QAE in test automation practices and best approaches.
- Perform regular code reviews to maintain high code quality and consistency.
- Safeguard product quality through proactive testing and automation strategies.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in software quality assurance and test automation.
- Strong expertise in designing, developing, and maintaining scalable and maintainable automation frameworks for UI, API, and integration testing.
- Hands-on experience with Playwright and modern end-to-end testing approaches.
- Strong proficiency in TypeScript and/or Python and test automation architecture.
- Solid understanding of software engineering principles, including OOP, SOLID, design patterns, and clean code practices.
- Deep knowledge of software testing methodologies, test design techniques, QA processes, and quality standards.
- Strong understanding of software architecture, microservices, and distributed systems.
- Practical experience with REST API testing, HTTP protocols, and service-level validation.
- Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines, including parallel execution, retries, reporting, and test stability improvements.
- Strong experience with Git and collaborative development workflows.
- Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis skills.
- Experience working with databases for test validation and data analysis.
- Ability to independently drive quality initiatives, improve testing processes, and contribute to technical decisions.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with cross-functional teams.
- Experience mentoring engineers and promoting quality best practices within the team.
- Experience with GitLab CI.
- Experience with gRPC and asynchronous communication testing.
- Experience with performance or load testing.
- Experience with test reporting and monitoring tools.
