Junior Software Engineer
Relax Gaming is a leading provider in the iGaming industry, and we are now looking for a Junior Software Engineer to join our backend engineering team in Malta! (We are looking for a person already residing in Malta for this position) This role is perfect for someone with a proactive mindset: eager to learn, to grow, and to take ownership of systems and processes. As part of our team, you will contribute to the development and maintenance of our core backend systems: high-performance, mission-critical services that power our games, jackpots, tournaments, and promotional features. These systems handle large volumes of real-time, real-money transactions and demand both reliability and scalability. You’ll be involved in the entire software development lifecycle: from gathering requirements and designing solutions to coding, testing, and deploying to production. We value clean, maintainable code, solid engineering principles, and a culture of continuous improvement. - Contribute to the development and maintenance of core backend systems.
- Develop high-performance, mission-critical services for games, jackpots, tournaments, and promotional features.
- Handle large volumes of real-time, real-money transactions, ensuring reliability and scalability.
- Participate in the entire software development lifecycle: gathering requirements, designing solutions, coding, testing, and deploying to production.
- Write clean, maintainable code and adhere to solid engineering principles.
- Engage in a culture of continuous improvement.
- At least 2 years’ experience in backend development in Java, C#, Python, or equivalent.
- Experience with relational databases, SQL, and ORM tools.
- A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science (or equivalent) is preferred.
