Legal Counsel

Description

We are now looking for a Legal Counsel to join our Legal Team at Relax Gaming! Reporting to the General Counsel, in this role you will provide proactive legal advice across a broad range of business matters, including general commercial and software licensing matters. You will work closely with various teams across the business and you will identify legal risks and develop strategies to mitigate them while supporting business objectives.

Responsibilities
  • Provide proactive legal advice on a wide range of business matters, covering general commercial and software licensing issues.
  • Draft and review various commercial agreements, including software licensing agreements, vendor agreements and partnership deals.
  • Ensure contracts comply with legal and regulatory requirements while protecting the company’s interests.
  • Manage contract disputes and assist in resolution strategies and dealing with any other post-contractual legal issues that may arise.
  • Support the development and delivery of legal training programs to promote best practices across the organisation and to manage legal risks.
  • Assisting with updating and creating legal templates.
  • Work closely with Product, Marketing, Compliance, Commercial, Finance and IT/Security teams to ensure alignment in new product launches and business initiatives and adherence to industry standards and best business practices.
  • Assisting with any additional tasks according to the needs of the company.
Requirements
  • Are a qualified solicitor/lawyer/advocate with at least 3 years PQE either in-house or within a private practice law firm (required).
  • Exposure to the gaming and technology industries (nice-to-have).
  • Analytical, with a creative, hands-on and pragmatic mindset (required).
  • Self-driven with the ability to take ownership of tasks and drive them through to completion, while prioritising workload accordingly (required).
  • A positive team player with strong communication skills and who enjoys a multicultural and multinational environment (required).
  • Motivated and proactive with a desire to learn, and with a keen eye and attention to detail (required).
  • Can uphold a high standard of work ethic, always ensuring to complete assigned tasks accurately and in a timely manner (required).
  • Have excellent contract negotiation, drafting, communication, risk assessment and legal advisory skills (required).
  • Have the ability to work in a fast-paced, high-growth industry and to manage multiple legal priorities, and to prioritise competing workloads and tight deadlines (required).
  • Have a strong business acumen and the ability to support commercial strategy while managing legal risks (required).
  • Have a high level of independence and accountability, and are able to act under limited supervision (required).
