Anaplan EPM Project Manager

Description

As Anaplan Project Manager – Enterprise Performance Management (EPM), you will be part of the Finance Transformation team that has overall responsibility for defining and overseeing the Finance Transformation Roadmap. The Finance Transformation team are a new addition to the Finance vertical, and it will be important for the successful candidate to help the Head of Finance Transformation continue to build the credibility and value proposition of a Transformation team. So, a “can do” attitude and “willingness to get hands dirty” will be a prerequisite for success in the Role. The Role will be responsible for identifying, analysing, and documenting business requirements within the EPM project, ensuring that the proposed solution aligns with the organization's goals by collaborating with stakeholders to gather needs, translate them into functional specifications, and monitor project execution to guarantee successful delivery; essentially acting as a bridge between the business and technical teams throughout the project lifecycle.

Responsibilities
  • Requirement Gathering: Conduct interviews, workshops, and surveys to gather detailed business requirements from stakeholders, understanding their pain points and desired outcomes.
  • Requirement Analysis: Analyse gathered requirements, identify gaps, and prioritize features to ensure feasibility and alignment with project objectives.
  • Documentation: Create comprehensive documentation including user stories, functional specifications, process flow diagrams, and data models to clearly define project scope.
  • Solution Design: Collaborate with development teams to translate requirements into technical designs, considering system architecture and potential solutions.
  • Stakeholder Management: Communicate project updates and requirements to stakeholders, manage expectations, and address concerns effectively.
  • Testing and Quality Assurance: Participate in testing phases, reviewing test cases and ensuring the developed solution meets functional specifications.
  • Project Monitoring: Track project progress against defined milestones, identify potential risks, and propose mitigation strategies.
  • Data Analysis: Utilize data analysis techniques to identify trends and patterns, supporting decision-making throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Assist with ad-hoc projects and tasks (on an as needs basis)
Requirements
  • Has hands on experience in a Finance Operational role and/or leading Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) Projects.
  • Ideally experiences should include Anaplan and/or Tagetik.
  • Has business Acumen: Strong understanding of business processes, operations, and key performance indicators.
  • Has analytical Skills: Ability to analyse complex data, identify patterns, and draw meaningful conclusions.
  • Is Fluent in English.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication to effectively convey technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Has expertise in eliciting, analysing, and documenting business requirements.
  • Has a basic understanding of project management methodologies and principles.
  • Is familiar with relevant software development tools and techniques, depending on the project domain.
  • Has strong academics, including degree level education.
  • Has experience of working in a multi-cultural and multi-location environment with an ability to work independently and prioritise workload as part of a geographically dispersed team.
  • Is enthusiastic and ability to take initiative and provide direction to others.
  • Is organised self-starter, with drive and ambition to quickly make an impact within an evolving business.
  • Has relevant sector experience would serve an advantage, such as Gaming background, digital, retail or e-Commerce.
  • Is keen on providing support to colleagues at all levels including training where necessary.
