Anaplan EPM Solution Architect

Description

As the Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) Solution Architect, you will be part of the Finance Transformation team that has overall responsibility for defining and overseeing the Finance Transformation Roadmap. The Finance Transformation team are a new addition to the Finance vertical and it will be important for the successful candidate to help the Head of Finance Transformation continue to build the credibility and value proposition of a Transformation team. So, a “can do” attitude and “willingness to get hands dirty” will be a prerequisite for success in the Role.

As the EPM Architect you will serve as trusted advisor to the EPM project stakeholders and project team, providing expert mentorship throughout the selected solutions implementations. You will drive discussions to identify gaps and challenges and help craft and define EPM requirements and visions. You will lead the entire project lifecycle, from requirement gathering and solution design to guiding the development team and working with the project stakeholders and team to adopt the appropriate processes and tools. You will work independently on development and issue resolution, ensure timely delivery of project artifacts, and provide comprehensive support throughout the implementation, coordinating closely with the project stakeholders and team, and implementation team to drive the successful deployment of the EPM solutions.

Responsibilities
  • Work closely with Internal Stakeholders to understand their challenges, objectives, and requirements.
  • Understand their functional requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
  • Generate conceptual, logical and physical architecture documents for the project.
  • Ensure the Solution side implementation teams have understood and captured the needs adequately.
  • Design, and optimize EPM suite of products to meet Internal stakeholders needs.
  • Integrate EPM solutions with DWH and/or existing enterprise systems, such as ERP and HCM systems.
  • Conduct through testing pf EPM applications to ensure proper functionality and data accuracy.
  • Advise stakeholders on the optimal allocation of workloads across various systems for enhances performance and efficiency.
  • Take a lead role in ensuring a broader view across multiple processes associated with the EPM ecosystem.
  • Trouble shoot and resolve issues related to system integration and performance.
  • Track key performance indicators (KPIs) in the EPM implementations.
  • Regularly assess EPM project progress and identify areas for improvement.
  • Report on EPM project health and potential risks.
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate potential risks in the implementation.
  • Develop contingency plans to address potential issues and minimize impact.
  • Monitor risk levels and escalate critical issues as needed.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders across different departments.
  • Communicate effectively to ensure alignment over the project life cycle.
  • Address concerns and manage stakeholder expectations throughout the project.
  • Lead a team of 2 Project managers and 1 Data Architect to successfully deliver EPM solution implementation.
  • Providing coaching and mentoring as needed.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree or post graduate degree in IT, computer science, software engineering, or equivalent or Finance.
  • Has 5+ years of Solution Architect experience.
  • Has Certification in TOGAF and or CCSP.
  • Is certified or familiar with Cloud Technologies either AWS. Azure, GCP or OCI.
  • Is experienced in EPM implementation with a consistent track record of designing and delivering high-scale, high-impact solutions. (Ideally Anaplan and Tagetik Taxation module).
  • Has up to date knowledge on the latest EPM technologies and best practices.
  • Has a good understanding of Income statement, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow, Workforce planning, Capex planning, strategic planning, different methods of consolidation and their calculations and disclosure in financial statements.
  • Has proven experience in project management methodologies and best practices.
  • Has expertise in portfolio management tools and software.
  • Has experience of working in a multi-cultural and multi-location environment with an ability to work independently and prioritise workload as part of a geographically dispersed team.
  • Is enthusiastic with ability to take initiative and provide direction to others.
  • Is an organised self-starter, with drive and ambition to quickly make an impact within an evolving business.
  • Has a strong customer focus, excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Has a strong interpersonal skills and ability to write clear documentation.
  • Is able to communicate technical concepts to all stakeholders.
  • Is able to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Is fluent in verbal and written English.
  • Understanding of DevOps methodologies and tools.
  • Relevant sector experience would be an advantage, such as Gaming background, digital, retail or e-Commerce.
  • Listed group experience or within a high-growth business a benefit.
