Compliance Officer
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Compliance Officer to support our regulatory and licensing obligations on the Greek i-gaming market. - Support and oversee all compliance activities with primary responsibility for maintaining the Greek i-gaming license and ensuring ongoing regulatory compliance.
- Oversee compliance projects, risk assessments, audits, ensuring alignment with broader organizational goals.
- Translate Greek regulatory requirements into clear, actionable guidance for internal stakeholders.
- Ensure the organization meets all legislative, regulatory, and licensing obligations, implementing effective risk mitigation and control measures in Greece.
- Continuously monitor, assess, and interpret regulatory developments, particularly within the Greek regulatory ecosystem, and identify areas requiring updates or remediation.
- Identify gaps or inefficiencies in current policies and processes; recommend, draft, and implement improvements in line with regulatory expectations.
- Provide day-to-day compliance advice and operational support to business units.
- Support all regulatory interactions, including inspections, audits, and reporting obligations, with emphasis on communications with the Hellenic Gaming Commission.
- Provide independent compliance support during due-diligence reviews for partners, suppliers, and potential acquisitions.
- Support the implementation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of Responsible Gaming controls, tools, and processes in line with Greek regulatory obligations and internal policies.
- Provide day-to-day Responsible Gaming operational support, including review, escalation, and follow-up of player protection cases and RG-related interventions.
- Assist the Responsible Gaming department in handling customer requests related to self-exclusion, self-limitation, affordability or safer gambling measures, particularly within the Greek i-gaming market.
- Collaborate effectively with internal teams and external partners, suppliers, and regulators.
- Ensure consistent adherence to internal policies, procedures, and governance frameworks.
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date compliance documentation, records, and reporting.
- Has a bachelor’s degree or equivalent education and experience.
- Has minimum 4-5 years’ experience in a similar compliance role, ideally within the i-gaming sector.
- Has a strong understanding of legislative frameworks, compliance frameworks, obligations, and regulatory dynamics in Greece particularly.
- Has a proven experience with Greek i-gaming licensing processes and ongoing compliance requirements.
- Demonstrated project-management experience, including leading cross-functional compliance initiatives.
- Is able to develop, implement, and maintain policies, procedures, and internal controls.
- Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Is fluent both in written and spoken Greek and English.
- Has exceptional organizational skills, strong attention to detail, and efficient time-management.
- Is proactive, curious, and able to work both independently and collaboratively.
- Possesses strong knowledge of gambling regulations and responsible gaming frameworks, with a solid understanding of AML/CTF and data protection requirements.
