Manager, Market & Competitive Intelligence

Description

The Global Product Marketing Team is the strategic engine that translates Trustly’s disruptive Open Banking technology into compelling market value and commercial growth. We are responsible for defining our competitive positioning, launching high-impact solutions, and enabling sales and product teams with deep, evidence-backed market insights.

Owns Trustly's competitive and market intelligence function - curating a proprietary Trustly dataset (Gong, Slack, win/loss, CRM notes) alongside an AI-driven, external monitoring layer. The immense focus of this role is on data ingestion and quality, whereby synthesizing those sources into evidence-grounded battle cards, a quarterly market foresight report, rapid-response sales talk-tracks, and recurring briefings to product teams, leadership, and the CxO office.

Responsibilities
  • Own Dataset & Curation - Build and own Trustly's proprietary "competitive truth" dataset by ingesting customer call recordings (Gong/Chorus), Slack field channels, win/loss interviews, CRM notes, RFP responses, and partner debriefs. Curate, validate, and tag inputs so AI synthesis stays high-fidelity, evidence-grounded, and traceable back to the source conversation.
  • AI-Augmented Market Pulse - Orchestrate an always-on monitoring layer that ingests competitor earnings calls, press, product releases, pricing pages, patent filings, and hiring signals. Use LLM-driven synthesis to surface high-priority shifts in near real time, with human validation before raw signal becomes published intelligence.
  • Open-Banking & Pay-by-Bank Market Foresight - Establish Trustly as an industry expert on data and pay-by-bank trends globally. Use AI to synthesize broad-market inputs (regulatory filings, analyst reports, competitor disclosures, public commentary) into a quarterly Market Foresight report highlighting 3–5 high-leverage shifts in the landscape.
  • Evidence-Grounded Asset Library - Maintain a centralized library of battle cards, objection handling guides, win/loss insights, and competitive scenarios. This person works very closely with AI generated drafts from the field signal datasets; functioning as the human validation, sharpener, and stress-tester against real competitor activity. Every market claim/position must have a source.
  • Sales Enablement Partnership - Equip Sales Enablement with rapid-response talk-tracks within hours of a competitor move - AI-drafted from the latest field signal, validated before reaching reps. Provide a queryable interface so Sales Enablement and account execs can pull on-demand intelligence ("what are we hearing about [competitor X] this month?") without waiting on a request cycle.
  • Product & Roadmap Input - Partner with Product Leadership to translate AI-synthesized competitive and market patterns into roadmap implications - surfacing competitor GTM moves, commercial approach shifts, and adoption patterns, not just feature deltas.
  • Executive Briefings - Deliver Trustly leadership a recurring "so what" synthesis of competitor moves and market dynamics - AI-drafted from the dataset, human-curated into clear, decisive narratives that inform strategy.
Requirements
  • You have 5+ years of experience in market and competitive intelligence, corporate strategy, or product marketing, ideally within the FinTech, Open Banking, or SaaS sectors.
  • You are deeply comfortable leveraging AI and Large Language Models (LLMs) to ingest, tag, and synthesize massive volumes of unstructured data -turning raw signals into high-fidelity, traceable insights.
  • You possess sharp analytical skills and a commitment to "competitive truth". You act as the human stress-tester, ensuring every market claim and asset is validated and grounded in real evidence.
  • You know how to translate complex market shifts into actionable strategy. You can easily pivot from equipping sales teams with rapid-response talk-tracks to collaborating with Product Leadership on GTM roadmap implications.
Benefits
  • Flexible paid time off & generous PTO accrual plans
  • Comprehensive medical, dental, vision, and other insurances
  • FSA & HSA plans for medical and dependent care
  • Home office set-up allowance
  • Internet stipend
  • Retirement plan match for 401k and RRSP
  • Gender-neutral paid parental leave, and more!
