Senior Software Engineer, React (Broker Web Platform)
Description
As a Senior Frontend Engineer working on Bitpanda’s flagship B2C platform, you'll drive the evolution of one of Europe’s leading investing and trading experiences. You’ll architect and deliver highly-performant, secure, and scalable web surfaces that support everything from everyday investing to advanced crypto and trading features. Your decisions will shape how millions of users interact with digital assets; helping make complex financial products feel simple, fast, and trustworthy.
Responsibilities
- Own the design, development and optimisation of high-impact web applications built with React, and TypeScript.
- Architect robust frontend systems, component libraries, and shared patterns that scale across multiple product teams.
- Collaborate deeply with product, design, and backend engineering to define technical direction and ensure seamless end-to-end execution.
- Own performance, reliability, security and test quality across complex user flows. From trading execution to portfolio management.
Requirements
- 6+ years of professional web engineering experience, with expert-level knowledge of React, TypeScript, and modern web architecture. (required)
- Strong experience architecting large-scale frontend systems, including SSR/ISR, caching strategies, advanced state management, and performance tuning. (required)
- Able to translate ambiguous product and UX requirements into clear technical plans and scalable solutions. (required)
- Comfortable navigating cross-team collaboration, influencing stakeholders, and driving alignment on technical decisions. (required)
- Hands-on experience with modern frontend testing frameworks (e.g., Jest, React Testing Library), with a clear understanding of how to build reliable, scalable test suites. (required)
