Software Engineer, Angular (B2C Web Platform)
Description
As a Frontend Engineer on Bitpanda’s flagship B2C platform, you’ll shape one of Europe’s fastest-growing investing and trading experiences. You’ll craft highly-performant, secure, and scalable web surfaces that bring everything from everyday investing to advanced crypto trading to life. Your work will touch millions of users, turning complex financial products into experiences that feel simple, fast, and trustworthy, while giving you the opportunity to leave a mark on the future of finance.
Responsibilities
- Own the stability and maintenance of our existing, high-impact web applications using primarily Angular and TypeScript.
- Dive deep into an established codebase to troubleshoot complex bugs, resolve vulnerability issues, and apply pragmatic solutions.
- Support gradual internal codebase migrations while keeping core business operations running smoothly.
- Collaborate closely with product, design, and backend engineers to ensure top-notch reliability, security, and performance across critical existing user flows.
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional web engineering experience, with deep, hands-on expertise in Angular and TypeScript. (required)
- A pragmatic "firefighter" and problem solver: You are highly comfortable working with, debugging, and stabilizing legacy or complex existing codebases rather than strictly building new architecture from scratch. (required)
- Able to turn ambiguous product and UX requirements into clear, scalable technical solutions. (required)
- Comfortable using modern developer tools, including AI-assisted workflows, to quickly understand, document, and safely update existing systems. (required)
- Hands-on with frontend testing frameworks in an Angular ecosystem, with a strong understanding of maintaining reliable test suites to prevent regressions. (required)
