Learning Experience Lead
The Learning Experience Lead ensures that people experience, adopt, and apply learning across the organisation. This role translates priority skills and learning products into end-to-end journeys that embed development into everyday work and lead measurable capability uplift. It involves designing learning communities and cohort-based capability programmes, such as apprentice communities and apprenticeship programmes, ensuring they are well-supported and connected to pathways, performance, and internal mobility.
- Learn Journey Ownership: Design and improve learning journeys in consideration of agreed priority skills and roles, advocating learning into workflow (not one-off events).
- Orchestrate journeys using the learning product portfolio and promoting platforms.
- Community & Cohort Programme Ownership (incl. Apprenticeships): Lead the strategy, operating rhythm and experience standards for learning communities (e.g., apprentice cohorts, capability networks, practice communities).
- Ensure apprenticeship journeys are integrated with broader capability pathways and in consideration of our needs and internal mobility outcomes.
- Apprenticeship Programme Oversight: Provide oversight, governance and quality assurance for apprenticeship programmes managed by direct reports (planning, comms, cohort operations, provider coordination).
- Adoption & Manager Enablement: Hold accountability for adoption and application in partnership with leaders and People Partners through manager enablement and performance support.
- Shape reinforcement mechanisms (manager prompts, in-role application, community rituals) and adjust when adoption is low.
- Orchestrate delivery of blended experiences and facilitate important moments that require senior credibility.
- Evaluate journeys, communities and cohorts using data and feedback; iterate, scale or redesign to maximise impact.
- 5+ years total experience in L&D / Talent / People Development and Experience (required).
- Expertise in learning experience design, journey orchestration and behaviour change at scale (required).
- Experience moving beyond event-based learning to sustained application through in-role experiences, manager enablement and reinforcement mechanisms (required).
- Experience designing and activating journeys within a digital learning ecosystem (LMS, LXP, skills platforms), ensuring seamless, intuitive learner experiences (required).
- Experience with how platform capabilities, content and workflow integration combine to promote adoption and engagement (required).
- Facilitation capability and credibility with senior partners (required).
- Experience analytics and user insight to improve journeys, engagement and improvement (required).
