Deployment Project Manager
We are looking for a Deployment Project Manager to lead a large‑scale technology migration project, including associated product development and rollout activity. This role has full lifecycle accountability. You will be responsible for shaping and planning the project, formally initiating it, leading mobilisation and kick‑off, and then delivering it through to completion and adoption. The project is complex, with multiple parallel workstreams and contributors across product, engineering and operational teams. Success depends on strong judgement, clear structuring of work, and the ability to create confidence and momentum from day one.
- Lead project initiation, including clarification of scope, objectives, success measures and constraints
- Develop the delivery approach, structure and integrated project plan
- Identify stakeholders, contributors and decision‑makers, and establish clear ways of working
- Run project kick‑off and ensure teams understand the purpose of the work, their role, and how delivery will operate
- Own delivery from initiation through to rollout and adoption
- Manage multiple parallel workstreams, sequencing activity and dependencies across teams
- Track progress, risks and issues, ensuring trade‑offs are surfaced and addressed early
- Work closely with Product Managers and capability teams to plan and deliver product changes required as part of the migration
- Translate product intent into practical delivery, testing and rollout plans
- Ensure product development remains aligned with the migration’s outcomes and timelines
- Plan and coordinate readiness activity so teams are prepared to operate, support and own what is delivered
- Ensure processes, ownership, documentation and handover are in place ahead of rollout
- Identify and address gaps where technical delivery and organisational readiness diverge
- Act as the central point of coordination and communication across the project
- Provide clear, structured reporting for senior stakeholders and sponsors
- Support effective decision‑making using delivery artefacts such as plans, dependency maps and risk logs
- Escalate deliberately when decisions materially affect scope, timeline, cost or value
- Uphold Deployment team standards around clarity, professionalism and respectful collaboration
- Challenge scope drift and unrealistic expectations constructively
- Focus on outcomes and adoption, not just task completion
- Proven experience planning, initiating and delivering complex technology or platform projects, ideally including migrations
- Experience working client-side or in-house on technology projects using fractional teams
- Strong capability in setting up projects from first principles, not just running pre‑defined plans
- Confidence managing multiple workstreams directly in a matrix organisation
- Structured, pragmatic and calm in complex or ambiguous environments
- Comfortable taking ownership early and creating clarity where little exists
- Organised and detail‑aware, while maintaining a strong sense of the bigger picture
- Service‑oriented, with care for both delivery outcomes and the project experience
- Clear, concise communicator who adapts easily to different audiences
- Uses evidence and delivery artefacts to guide conversations and decisions
- Exercises sound judgement about when to decide, when to escalate, and when to slow things down
- Experience in digital media, sports, betting, content or SEO‑led environments (nice to have)
- Familiarity with platform or CMS migrations (nice to have)
- Experience working with distributed teams across time zones (nice to have)
- Subsidized Sky HD package, broadband and discounted sky talk
- Free Puregym membership
- Free healthcare with Bupa, life assurance and income protection
- Pension scheme with up to 9% contribution from the company
- £1,000 training fund each financial year, to spend on your professional development
- Unlimited holiday plan
