Engineering Manager AI & Automation
The Engineering Manager for the AI & Automation Squad is accountable for building and leading an engineering team that delivers scalable, secure, and business-driven AI and automation solutions across enterprise business applications.
- Lead and grow the AI & Automation engineering squad within the Business Applications Tribe.
- Own engineering delivery, technical quality, reliability, and operational excellence for AI and automation solutions.
- Establish modern engineering practices aligned with Enterprise Engineering, including a product mindset, DevOps, and platform thinking.
- Partner closely with Product Management, Business Application Leads, Architecture, Security, and Data teams.
- Drive adoption of AI, automation, and low-code platforms to improve efficiency and decision-making across the organization.
- Ensure solutions are scalable, compliant, and reusable across Finance, HR, and other business domains.
- Build, coach, and performance-manage engineers, including AI engineers, automation engineers, and low-code developers.
- Define the squad mission, roadmap, and technical priorities in alignment with tribe and enterprise strategy.
- Oversee the design and delivery of: AI-powered assistants and copilots, Process automation, including workflow automation, RPA, and orchestration, Intelligent integrations across Google, Microsoft Dynamics 365, Power Platform, and other enterprise systems
- Establish and enforce engineering standards for coding, testing, security, monitoring, and CI/CD.
- Embed responsible AI practices, data governance, and compliance into solution design and delivery.
- Manage dependencies, risks, and technical debt.
- Act as the escalation point for delivery, quality, and operational issues.
- Support hiring, onboarding, and capability development as the squad grows.
- Experience managing a team of 3 engineers, with plans to scale through hiring.
- Experience building automations and AI agents in enterprise contexts.
- 5+ years of experience in software or platform engineering roles.
- 2+ years of people leadership experience.
- Strong experience with enterprise business applications, preferably including: Microsoft Dynamics 365, including Finance, HR, CE, or Business Central
- Low-code platforms such as Power Platform, including Power Automate, Power Apps, and Copilot Studio
- Google AppSheet

- UiPath
- Hands-on understanding of automation patterns, including workflow automation, RPA, and event-driven automation.
- Working knowledge of AI and ML concepts and applied AI in enterprise contexts.
- Experience operating in product-centric or platform teams.
- Solid grasp of cloud platforms, preferably Azure or AWS.
- Strong understanding of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience with API-based integrations and enterprise architecture principles.
- Experience working in regulated environments with security, privacy, and compliance requirements.
- Strong people leader with a coaching and growth mindset.
