Overseas Game Operations (SRE) Intern

Description

Responsibilities
  • Assist in the day-to-day operations, system maintenance, and cost analysis of Tencent's overseas game services and technical platform.
  • Support high-availability efforts for Tencent's overseas account storage systems, including routine health checks.
  • Help improve monitoring and alerting coverage to enhance operational efficiency across overseas platforms.
  • Coordinate and communicate with internal and external teams to support cross-functional operations tasks.
Requirements
  • Currently pursuing or recently graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • Basic familiarity with Unix/Linux operating systems. Experience with Shell or Python scripting is a plus.
  • General awareness of cloud platforms (e.g., Tencent Cloud, AWS). Exposure to Kubernetes concepts is a bonus.
  • Basic understanding of MySQL and Redis. Hands-on database experience is preferred.
  • Strong sense of ownership, clear logical thinking, collaborative mindset, and willingness to take on challenging tasks.
  • Basic English reading and writing skills required. Candidates who can communicate in English day-to-day are preferred.
  • Familiarity with AI-assisted programming tools. Candidates with hands-on experience in AI-powered development (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or similar tools) are preferred.
