Financial Controller
The Financial Controller will join the finance team in Sofia, Bulgaria. This role is focused on supporting business expansion through detailed financial analysis, reporting, and operational management.
The Financial Controller will play a key role in monitoring financial performance, managing payment provider data, and ensuring regulatory compliance. The position requires a professional capable of working within a dynamic environment to provide actionable insights that support the broader business objectives.
- Analyze current and past financial data and performance.
- Prepare reports and projections based on this analysis to identify trends.
- Prepare reports on financial information and communicate insights to the wider business.
- Download, analyse, and manage data from payment providers.
- Analyse deposits, refunds, chargebacks, and fees.
- Plan and maintain foreign exchange operations.
- Maintain current bank accounts and manage the opening of new ones.
- Perform daily and monthly reconciliation of bank and payment provider balances.
- Investigate transaction and balance discrepancies.
- Review invoices from content providers including casino games, sports feeds, and platform providers.
- Prepare gambling commission reports in accordance with relevant regulatory rules.
- Coordinate with other members of the finance team to review financial information and forecasts.
- BA Degree in Economics or Business (required)
- At least 2 years work experience in a finance department (required)
- Industry experience (preferred)
- Highly motivated with good problem solving and analytical skills (required)
- Ability to function well in a team-oriented and dynamic work environment (required)
- Excellent Microsoft Office application skills including advanced knowledge of Excel (required)
