Fraud Strategy Manager
888 is looking for a talented, experienced and highly motivated Fraud Strategy Manager to join a strong group, developing one of the world's leading online gaming brands. The Fraud Strategy Manager will play a key role in shaping and delivering the company's fraud prevention strategy across the customer lifecycle.
The role involves identifying emerging fraud risks, developing strategic initiatives, enhancing fraud controls and driving transformation programmes that reduce fraud losses while improving operational efficiency and customer experience. The Fraud Strategy Manager will report to the Head of Fraud Strategy.
- Contribute to and drive the execution of a comprehensive fraud prevention strategy, aligned with the company's goals and risk appetite, working closely with the Head of Global Systems & Capability.
- Build and execute fraud-specific roadmaps, balancing immediate fraud mitigation opportunities with long-term capability development and automation.
- Identify, assess and prioritise fraud risks across the customer lifecycle, including application fraud, payment fraud and account takeover.
- Lead strategic fraud initiatives and transformation programmes, working closely with Product, Technology, Operations, Payments, Compliance and Risk teams to deliver measurable business outcomes.
- Drive the adoption of automation, AI and advanced fraud prevention capabilities to improve fraud detection, reduce manual effort and enhance operational effectiveness.
- Monitor fraud trends, emerging threats and industry developments, ensuring fraud controls, processes and technologies remain effective and continuously improved.
- Collaborate with external vendors, payment providers and industry partners to strengthen fraud prevention capabilities and maintain awareness of market best practices.
- Support fraud governance, performance reporting and business case development, ensuring fraud initiatives are prioritised based on risk reduction, customer impact and commercial value.
- Knowledge and experience within iGaming (Online Casino and/or Sportsbook). (required)
- 3+ years of fraud strategy, fraud management, risk or payments experience. (required)
- Strong understanding of application fraud, payment fraud and account takeover. (required)
- Experience developing fraud strategies, roadmaps and business cases that deliver measurable outcomes. (required)
- Strategic thinking, balanced with strong execution skills and the ability to react to changing fraud threats and business priorities. (required)
- Experience with fraud prevention tools, automation, AI-driven solutions and fraud vendor ecosystems. (required)
- Demonstrated experience collaborating with key stakeholders, influencing decisions and managing cross-functional initiatives to achieve strategic goals. (required)
- Experience with Visa/Mastercard fraud and dispute programmes, KYC processes and online payment systems. (nice-to-have)
