NOC Operator
The company is looking for a proactive and detail-oriented NOC Operator to join its 24/7 Operations team. In this role, you will be responsible for monitoring the availability, health, and performance of production systems, ensuring business-critical services remain operational around the clock.
You will be the first line of response to production alerts, working closely with Engineering, Infrastructure, and Support teams to identify issues, perform initial troubleshooting, coordinate incident response, and help maintain high service availability. - Continuously monitor production systems, applications, and infrastructure using enterprise monitoring platforms.
- Respond promptly to alerts, investigate incidents, and perform first-line troubleshooting.
- Create, update, and manage incident tickets, ensuring accurate documentation throughout the incident lifecycle.
- Escalate complex technical issues to the appropriate engineering teams while following established operational procedures.
- Execute operational runbooks, health checks, and routine operational tasks.
- Provide clear and comprehensive shift handovers to ensure seamless 24/7 operations.
- Communicate service status and incident updates to relevant stakeholders.
- Contribute to maintaining high service availability and operational excellence.
- Previous experience in a Network Operations Center (NOC), IT Operations, Technical Support, or similar operational environment (preferred).
- Basic understanding of Windows and Linux operating systems (required).
- Networking fundamentals including TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP, and VPN (required).
- Understanding of IT infrastructure and production environments (required).
- Familiarity with monitoring, logging, and ticketing platforms (preferred).
- Strong analytical thinking and troubleshooting skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure (required).
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset (required).
- A high level of ownership, attention to detail, and willingness to learn (required).
- Availability to work in a 24/7 rotating shift schedule, including nights, weekends, and public holidays (required).
- Experience working with Nagios XI, New Relic, Grafana, Zabbix, Splunk, or ServiceNow (nice-to-have).
