Senior Network Engineer
888 is looking for an experienced and motivated Senior Network Engineer to join its Network & Datacenters team. The successful candidate will play a key role in designing, implementing, maintaining, and troubleshooting enterprise network solutions across on-premises and cloud environments.
This role requires a hands-on engineer with excellent troubleshooting skills, a strong understanding of networking fundamentals, and the ability to work collaboratively within a global team.
- Design, implement, troubleshoot, and maintain enterprise network and datacenter environments.
- Deliver reliable LAN, WAN, WLAN, VPN, firewall, load balancing, and cloud networking solutions.
- Troubleshoot complex end-to-end network issues across on-premises and cloud environments.
- Participate in the design and delivery of new network solutions and infrastructure improvements.
- Work closely with infrastructure, cloud, security, architecture, and application teams to ensure secure and resilient network services.
- Produce and maintain technical documentation, standards, and operational procedures.
- Identify opportunities to improve network performance, availability, automation, and operational efficiency.
- Participate in both project delivery and Business-as-Usual operational activities.
- Support planned maintenance, upgrades, and technology refresh initiatives.
- Participate in incident response, root cause analysis, and problem management activities.
- Participate in an on-call rotation to provide support for critical production environments.
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP networking and the OSI model (required).
- Proven experience troubleshooting complex network issues across multiple technologies using TCPDUMP/Wireshark (required).
- Solid knowledge of routing, switching, VLANs, BGP, OSPF, NAT, VPNs, DNS, DHCP, SD-WAN and network security (required).
- Experience with enterprise network design and implementation (required).
- Hands-on experience with AWS networking services including VPC, Transit Gateway, Transit Gateway routing, Direct Connect, Site-to-Site VPN, Route Tables, and Security Groups (required).
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code such as Terraform, Ansible, or Python (required).
- Experience with VMware NSX-T and or Cisco ACI networking (required).
- Strong experience with Nexus datacenter switching (required).
- Exposure to network automation and scripting (nice-to-have).
- Understanding of AI components such as LLMs and MCPs (nice-to-have).
- Experience with Palo Alto Networks, Cisco ASA, Cisco Nexus, F5 BIG-IP, Infoblox, VMware, Cisco ACI, Cisco Meraki, Arista switching and routing, or observability tooling like Splunk, New Relic, and Solarwinds (preferred).
- 5+ years of experience in enterprise networking (required).
- Relevant certifications such as CCNP Enterprise, AWS Advanced Networking, or equivalent (preferred).
- Excellent written and spoken English (required).
