Data Scientist
Aristocrat is looking for an Advanced Insights Data Scientist to join its team. This role focuses on transforming complex datasets into actionable insights to drive commercial strategy and support key business decisions.
The successful candidate will leverage data science, machine learning, and advanced analytics to solve business problems and provide actionable insights. They will plan and complete complex projects using statistical applications, big data analyses, and machine learning. The role involves developing innovative analytic solutions, models, and automation processes to support commercial strategy, and building and supporting data models, algorithms, and statistical analyses for meaningful insights.
Staying updated on emerging data engineering technologies and trends, evaluating and implementing appropriate tools is key. Collaboration with the BI team to improve reporting and visualizations for collaborators, and partnering with the Enterprise Data & Insights team to develop and deploy data science models are also important aspects of this position. The role requires providing analytical commentary on industry trends and impacts, presenting recommendations and results clearly to various audiences, and measuring and reporting the impact of deployed models on business outcomes. - Build and support data models, algorithms, and statistical analyses for meaningful insights.

- Collaborate with the BI team to improve reporting and visualizations for collaborators.

- Measure and report the impact of deployed models on business outcomes.
- BSc in mathematics, statistics, computer science, or equivalent experience in a related field (required).
- Additional training in Data Science, BI, Data Visualization, Analytics, Programming (required).
- Strong knowledge of SQL, Python, R, Java, and/or CSS (required).
- Experience with operationalizing ML models and basic MLOps/ CI-CD workflows (required).
- Proficiency with Tableau, Power BI, Looker, or other visualization tools (required).
- Understanding of data management practices and the data lifecycle (required).
- Strong communication abilities for participating in targeted conversations (required).
- Excellent verbal, written, and communication skills for addressing audiences of varying sizes (required).
- Competitive salary range of $86,100 - $130,000 per year.
